Me too ;-)

Sure ;-)
Beside simple single color toning you can do all sorts of
multi-color and split tonings. The choice of possible colors
and the degree of control is clearly superior to traditional
techniques.

Here's a quick'n'dirty (and a little exaggerated) example of
the type "warm shadows, cold highlights":

This was the b/w original:

Of course, these possibilities apply to all kinds of images,
not only lith prints.

Oh, BTW:
If you're into advanced toning or fine printing in general,
you'll *definitely* want a copy of "Beyond Monochrome :
A Fine Art Printing Workshop" by Tony Worobiec and Ray Spence.
It'll be publishing in June:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/1883403669/o/qid=954069388/sr=8-1/002-6011723-8554655

Why do I think so? I was so lucky to get one of the first
copies directly from the press of the German version which
has already been published under the title "Workshop Monochrom
und weitere Kunst-Printing-Techniken":

http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/3804351409/o/qid=954069510/sr=8-1/028-3782646-2267031

The book covers many techniques such as toning (single and
multiple), liquid emulsion, lith printing, salt printing,
gum printing, platin and palladium printing, cyanotype,
argyrotype, kallitype, hand coloring, and airbrush.
It's just wonderful!

And yes, from this statement you can conclude that although
I've somewhat advocated digital techniques in this and my
previous message, I'm a little old-fashioned as well and love
to dip my fingers into various non-digital liquids ... ;-)
