Color IR: Suggestions?

Hi all,

I just purchased my first rolls of Kodak color IR film ($$ ouch!). The store 
where I got it didn't have a B+W #12 filter (well, they did have a Tiffen, 
but I don't like the poorer quality finish) so I picked up the yellow orange 
#16. What should I expect from this combo?

I plan to set ASA to 100 and meter through the filter.

AR-5 or E-6 (I have no idea what the difference is ...)

Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
