I can not remember to see such an excellent comparision in any book. 

The pictures are done, so it might be too late - but I would suggest to add
a filterless version of each the EIR and the HIE examples, too.

I did a similar work and planned to put it on my web site, too, but
unfotunately I lost my notes. So I can not find out wich image was used with
wich filter.
