well there were some other followup s to yer question (and as I recall
George has a good handle on things) so I'll just say that I've not had
experience with another developer. I started using D-76 and didn't really
feel inclined to change my habit.
I also recall reading in a book (called Image Clarity - High Resolution
Photography, by John Williams) that indicated that the best resulution of
TXP and other emulsions was had by using D-76 ... so I haven't really done
any experimenting yet. Considering that to really understand I'd have to
do some decent testing, and perhaps some sensitometery, and I'm not up for
that yet ;-)
