Hello right back at ya!
:)
Shot off 6 more sheets this past Saturday morning, but not had the chance
to develop yet. Used my B+W filter, set my spot meter at 12 ISO, and I was
reading values of 12 to 30 seconds at F45.
Usually with good ole Tri-X, I like meter the lowest value I can detect in
my spot meter, then pull the developign a bit - the old fashioned wisdom of
"meter for the shadows, develop for the highlights."
On my sopt meter, I had ranges of 9 to 14. I was shooting an old bridge
over the forks of the Thames river (in London, ONT, not London, England),
lots of trees all around, puffy clouds.
So I metered for 9 - the lowest value, but completely unsure of how
reciprocity failure affects this film, I tried everythign from a 1 minutes
to a 5 second exposure. I'll ahve to see which works out best.
Still plan to use Rodinal. I have really hard water where I live,a nd
developers like Xtol do not work worth a darn for me unless I use distilled
water for all mixing, whereas Rodinal - man, that stuff is so hardy, it
would probally work if you mixed it with waste water from Chernobyl!
:)
will keep you posted.
