Re: Question about EIR




I agree there has to be a reason that I get sharp pix with EIR and others do
not. I wonder if their focusing techniques are possibly the reason their
chromes lack sharpness.
With black and white IR film Kodak doesn't control halation which can appear
as softness on the neg.. but that isn't a problem with EIR. I also use E-6
processing with no bad effect to up to 16x20 prints.
I take photos in bright daylight at f 16 or greater which works just fine. I
also go easy on the filtration with 25 red being the densest filter I use. I
never use Wratten filters as when they flex it changes the focus
characteristics of the image on the film plane.
