Conifers
Re: Conifers and Infrared Reflectivity
In my limited experience (coz I prefer to shoot broadleafs) there may
be small sections of the cones, presumably the growing tips, which
reflect near IR light. I have some shots in Kew Gardens which exhibit
this phenomenon. Because the cones open and close depending on
temperature and humidity this is seems to be very variable. I saw
this as tiny light points on an otherwise dark tree.
Anyone else come across this one?
