Re: IR Video
ARGH!
IR 35mm film does NOT come in 100 foot rolls and it doesn't come in 200 foot
rolls either. It comes in 150 or 400 foot rolls only (and 64" long 35mm
casettes too). I don't know why I'm beating this nail into the coffin since
no one one list shoots IR in movie cameras; much much too expensive! Anyways
just want to set the record straight.
A sony nightshot mini DV camcorder or a converted JVC digital camcorder is
the ONLY affordable way to shoot IR video and the results are very neat.

I can't recall the exact length of the rolls, they may have only had 100'
in
stock.
He was quoting his director of photography, so something may have been lost
in
the translation. He's the guy who won an academy award a few years ago for
the
documentary "Hearts of Darkness", so I assume he knows something or can
afford
to pay somebody who does. In any case, the HIE motion picture segments
looked
great and are worth the video rental price.
