Hello, Rod:  A few weeks ago I became aware that digital cameras (except for
the newer 3.3 "megapixel" cameras) worked very well for IR.  I have tried IR
with film cameras once or twice, but always had other projects that were
more urgent.  I am no IR expert, but I would say it works very well indeed.
I bought an Olympus C2020, got a 49mm Tiffen #87 filter with Olympus filter
adapters, and have had very encourgaging results.  The digital cameras are
certainly not in the same league with film, but then the lack of sharpness
seems to be less of a concern with IR.  I like seeing the IR image on the
LCD.  Hope this helps.
