Cold film

I know that Kodak says to keep film below 50 degrees  and not freezing
but does keeping the film below 32 degrees...say 0-10 degrees actually
help.
I would assume warm up times will vary but the question is there
anything to gain
by  freezing film?
Any thoughts????
