Canvas Prints

Luminos sells presensitized B&W photo Canvas in the US..

They have both Photo Canvas and Sensitized Belgian Linen... Stuff is medium
contrast.. (although Luminos is the distributor, the stuff is actually produced,
last time I checked, in Germany by someone else)

As for those who have noted the oil-painting like quality of some images they
have seen like that...

(The GICLEE prints are digital prints made on inkjet media similar to the
sensitized linen - Luminos sells this under the LumiJet brand name - the
advantage of course is that you can do standard full color printing with these -
the disadvantage is they aren't silver prints or direct prints made in a
traditional manner)

You CAN hand-color the B&W images on the Canvas with traditional oil-pencil or
oils..

You can also stretch a wet print, or unexposed wet canvas (I recommend the former)
over a stretcher frame exactly as one would when putting canvas on for painting..
Just need the frame and a staple gun..

If anyone buys the traditional stuff and decides to work with it, I can give some
VERY IMPORTANT tips on using it... The stuff is expensive.. You do not want to
proceed blithely when using it..

For those who are interested...

I have a small sample scan of a canvas printed, hand-colored IR image at:

http://members.ultracom.net/pov_image/personal1.htm

It's there as part of my personal page..

My other on-line IR imagery is easiest to reach by going to
