No problem using this filter with all the films you mentioned.

This is more a matter of your choice, as there are proponents of metering
through the filter and not through the filter. For many years I have metered
through a #25 filter with success (you can see the results on my Web site).
Generally speaking, I expose Kodak HIE at EI 250 when metered through a #25
filter. Oftentimes I will vary from this, depending upon the way I see the
conditions, but that's just something that comes with familiarity with the
film. After you get accustomed to it, you'll see what I mean.
