Hi Belen
The "Pyro card" is an interface card that you fit in a PCI slot in your
computer (assuming you have a PC). and provides a digital link for a DV or
D8 camcorder (I have the Sony DCR TRV620 D8) this digital link is also
called "iLink", "Firewire" or "IEEE 1394". The iLink is Sony's name for
Firewire. There are also other Digital input cards. but the data throughput
is too high to be put through a parallel port. I use a Sony Vaio laptop with
a built in iLink with my D8 camcorder.
