Hi,
I find the following works well for me:-
Set camera meter to 400 ISO with red #25A filter.
Agfa Rodinal developer dilution 1 + 25
Water 20'C. Time 7.5 minutes.
Agitation, continuos for first 30 seconds then once every 30 seconds.
However rotation of film spiral works better than total
inversion of tank. (I use patterson tank).
If you expose one frame against plain light grey background, you will
see film sprocket-aligned streaks from uneven development, but not if you
just use gentle rotation agitation.
Yes the grain is more noticeable with Rodinal but I thing it makes
a nice image result coping well with contrast, and personally I feel
it suits the film well.
