Hi Heather:

    Without seeing the negatives, I would tend to agree with the lab guys.
Sorry, Stan. Your spots look just like mine and I (and others with many years
of pro lab experience) don't think they are air bubbles (air bells). Air
bubbles usually have a distinct edge to them, at least in my experience. I have
only had such spots recently when I switched to X-tol instead of D-76 but the
one roll I did does not qualify as a real experiment in my book.
     Kodak suggested dropping the loaded reel into a full tank of developer in
the dark as the best way to minimize my spot problem. They also thought that
the problem was air bubbles but did not look at the negs.
    You can send your negs to Kodak and ask for an analysis, I think.
