Develop a piece of the paper without exposing it to any light (except safe
lights). You'll see if it is fogged and can throw it out before you use it
for something important.

Hi,

This is off topic but I have no one else to ask.

I have been interested in "photography" as I know it, and recently I
went to my local "pro" photo shop and purchased basic developing gear so
I could give it a go!

My "pro" local shop seems to by shy with their information when it
comes to dealing with an amateur like myself. All I want to know is, I
have some photo paper that is 9 years old and I wanted to know if it is
still any good to use when I print my few but new IR negs? A simple
question.

Treatment like that from "pro" shops will keep people from trying to
get involved in photography, That is just to bad for all of us!

Can anyone help with my simple question?
