Edge resolution is not too great a problem with stitching since you
normally allow plenty of overlap of the images. With my 8mm lens on 35mm I
use 3 shots, so that's 195° overlap for a 360° panorama. 65° of the image
is not used (but is useful for selecting control points to aligning/correct
the images) I also shoot 2 vertical image (1 up, 1 down) so there's also
plenty of overlap there as well.
