Rolland,

I once had the experience of sending Kodachrome through a B&W process at my 
8mm developers. It was an accident, but I poisoned the chemistry with the 
Kodachrome.

Your case is the other way around. I suspect that there is some risk that 
the re-used components of the chemistry in the automatic machine may become 
very unhappy. This would be too bad for the other customers, I'd bet.

I suspect that Kodak's professional division can tell you the result of 
piping the HIE or other B&W through a C-41 process...

Were you curious to see about light leaks and exposures? It's an 
interesting idea...
