Maco ISO.........?

Hey all,

Well I finally was able to shoot a roll of the Maco IR.  Now here comes the 
questions.........what is the "proper" ISO?  (Proper = a good starting point) 
 I understand it's rated at 100, but a friend shot it at 100 and his 
negatives were aaallllmost clear!  He bracketed one stop each way on the 
first half and two stops each way on the second half of the roll!  He told me 
to rate it at 12.

Anyway, I shot it at ISO 50, but would love some input before I process it.  
(XTOL 1:3 14 min.)
