Closure of The Infrared Gallery

Hi All,

Since the infrared list is growing all the time: here a bit of history:
back in the beginning of the list I decided to start an Infrared Gallery
since I had access to a server. So people could send Infrared Images
which I would put up at the site (..at these days 80% of the traffic on
our small department server was generated The Infrared Gallery and my
personal site..;-).. At a later stage Jason Revell took over the
preparation of the images, and I would place them on our server (a big
thank you for that Jason!). But with the growing of the internet more
and more people made their own site, and The Gallery got more and more
obsolete.

Now the curtain has fallen: our department has merged, and all our WEB
pages are behind the fire-wall and not accessible any more.

A thank you to those who have contributed in the past. The Infrared
Gallery has served his purpose.

One final request: please remove any links to the "The Infrared Gallery"
as well as to my personal Home Page (this one will be up under another
address in the future)
