Jaap, Clive, everyone, after the prompt feedback I called B&H and they are
sending out a replacement by overnight shipping at no charge, as I had paid
extra for fast shipping on the original order. Of course I did have to charge
the replacement on my credit card until they receive the defective filter
back, at which time they credit the cost back. I could have waited for them to
get the defective one back, and then ship a replacement, but I was looking
forward to running my first tests this week. I have to be greatful that they
keep expensive specialty items like this in stock. If I had to rely on my
local camera store it would take weeks to get something like this, and then
more weeks to replace a defective unit - and the price would be even more
outrageous. So thanks again for your experienced council!-Fred
