At close to $20 a roll all that testing can get expensive!
I'd suggest buying Kodak's 100 foot long bulk roll of color IR which can
make about 20 rolls of 36 exp film. Last time I checked it costs around
$230 plus around $30-40 worth of bulk loading equipment. However, the price
probably went up in the last few months.

I do this all the time. If you don't want to make the big intial investment
I sell the film at $8 a roll. It is fresh film and is stored in the freezer
until shipment. It's probably not the best winter photography film, but it's
better to buy it now and be ready in the spring.

Email me off line if interested.

have to use that first roll to test. If you are going to have it developed
using the E-6 process, EI 200 is Kodak's starting recommendation. However, I
have found my best exposures at EI 250, 320, and even 400. But I have been
shooting primarily in deserts and mountains from Colorado to California. 200
has always been a tad overexposed for me.>>
