Well, Bob,

My son-in-law picked up a similar book at a flea market and gave it to me 
over Christmas.  None of the numbers are exactly the same, but it's still a 
possibility.  It's a sort of burgundy copy of "The Focal Encyclopedia of 
Photography", published by Focal Press in London or Focal/Hastings House in 
New York.  The "Revised Desk Edition" started publication in 1969 and my 
reprint is dated 1978.  USA ISBN is 0 8038 2332 0 and the rest of the world 
ISBN is 0 240 50680 4.  My copy is about 8" x 6" and 2 1/4" thick (other 
editions may have slightly different size.  The real difference is in the 
number of pages.  Mine has 1700, and not 700.  It's got nearly everything in 
it (but, of course, a bit dated in many areas).  It'll be a fun book to 
browse through, anyway.
