ARENA presents its 15th annual weekend photographic seminar

April 20th(p.m.), 21st and 22nd 2001


ARENA is a group of both amateur and professional photographers with a wide
variety of interests and styles. The group is well known for its exhibitions
and for its annual weekend seminar at the beautiful Elizabethan Manor House
of Ufton Court, in the Berkshire countryside.

ARENA will be holding their 15th annual weekend seminar starting on the
evening of Friday April 20th through to the evening of Sunday April 22nd
2001. Attendance may be for all or any part of the weekend either as a
residential (dormitory) or as a day guest.

ARENA now boasts even more distinguished members than before. Our weekend
programme includes contributions both by ARENA members and by well known
invited guests in an informal mixture of talks, discussions and workshops.
There will also be an informal constantly changing exhibition area for
anybody who wishes to bring and display work at any time. Guests may also
have opportunity to present and discuss work, time permitting, and of course
join in the informal chit-chat with like minds throughout the weekend.

ARENA members contribute work to a print raffle open to all, which will be
held on the Sunday afternoon.

ARENA programme arrangements for the weekend start informally on Friday
evening for those who can make it. The programme continues on Saturday
morning and invited weekend guest speakers include Lake District landscape
photographer David Herrod 'Talking Pictures' and Dominic Burd showing
platinum prints and talking about the process. There will be at least one
other invited guest yet to be confirmed, plus Arena speakers on a wide range
of topics.

Come and join us and make new friends. Although many 'regulars' travel the
length and breadth of the country to be with us, many new faces are welcomed
into 'the Arena experience' each year so you will be made welcome - but
spaces are limited so early booking is advised. This is not a profit
orientated venture and prices have been held down again this year!
