Lance -

I use Xtol when developing HIE and simply use the recommended development
times.  They work very well, which is surprising when one considers how much I
have deviated from Kodak's suggested times for other developers.

One thing does concern me, however.  You say that you cannot dilute the
developer beccause you have already used it twice.  Do you mean that you are
actually reusing your film developer?  If so, I would, in the strongest terms,
suggest against doing this.  Developers not specifically designed to be reused
should only be used in a one-shot mode.  It is much too easy to compromise
quality by trying to save a few pennies.
