Yes, I think it will help if the goodness of a stereo view can be measured
by the amount of information contained therein.  The amount of information
is the solid angle times the resolution in, say, pixels per steradian, at
least up to the point where the resolution is more than the eye can see.

I think wow factor is related to total amount of viewable information.
It may also be that the wow factor is only the number of steradians 
available.
