I've entered Richard Rylander's formula for the solid angle
a format subtends into an Excel spreadsheet and put the 
spreadsheet on my "free" web site.  Richard came up with 
the formula using vector analysis.  I did an independent
check using spherical trig.  Exact same result.  I think we
can have high confidence in Richard's work!  8-)

So if you want to know what size a format _really_ is, grab 
the spreadsheet and plug in your numbers.  Other ways of 
classifying format size are just approximations and are
often misleading.
