Does no one practice B&W reversal any more?
I do appreciate that with your method more than one copy can be
made, but the depth of tones achieved with direct reversal of FP5 or
PAN F takes a hell of a lot of beating.
If I intend to reverse B&W I would shoot 6X6 and glass mount.
I must agree with your remarks about pyro, the trouble is that I
can't get it any more over here. I also used to use Sease Formula lll
which was Paraphenyline Diamine (PPD) with Metol - - - staggering
results, but once again, no longer available here. I think that the
authorities believe that all British photographers wish to poison
themselves!!!!!. Things arn't that bad, really.
