Yes, that's true.  As a matter of fact, all the 35mm applications of twin
cameras with longer lenses I am aware of, use increased instead of
reduced base.  Typical example are the action shots of Allan Griffin,
taken with 135mm lenses and side-to-side SLR cameras.
