Looks like a little interpretation of the Leica drum results can yield a
lot of info about focal plane shutter performance.
A shutter speed tester I've used for several years is the one sold by
Calumet Photo
http://www.calumetphoto.com/ (search for "shutter tester"). This is a
fairly inexpensive ($79.99) device that can conveniently measure focal
plane and leaf shutter speeds with a digital readout to 10 microsecond
resolution. Extremely handy for testing older mechanically timed
shutters - while you may not be able to adjust the speeds, at least you
will know what aperture correction to apply..
