[MF3D.FORUM:648] Re: Dual Pentax 6X7

Stuart:
Thanks for you suggestion of using dual Pentax 6x7 instead of a single camera
with shift bar. There are few problems: The first one is my Pentax with the
TTL top and the 55 mm, f 3.5 weights almost 7 pounds. When I shoot weddings
with it all day, my arms are tired. A dual system adds up to 14 lb.. Using
a tripod will be a must.
The second problem is the stereo base will be much wider then desirable. You
are luck to have a dual motor drive Hasselblad system, the above problems are
not your concern.
The third problem is the high price of the additional camera and lenses. So
for the moment, I'll stay with the single camera with the bar first, and see
how it works out. I am sure I have to select my picture taking to a limited
situation only. For now, my camera equipment are ready, but have not started
the MF3D project yet.
I have asked questions about the 6x7 stereo mounts in landscape and portrait
mode, and about the viewer too. But I have found no help so far.
