The maximum deviation is calculated as viewing distance
divided by 30. With 80mm FL viewing lenses, that works
out to 2.67 mm MAOFD. If you are using 62mm FL lenses
in your viewer, 2.07mm may be the theoretical MAOFD.
Individual viewers may be able to tolerate somewhat
more or less deviation.
My impression is that Greg Erker is usually comfortable
with more than the theoretical maximum MAOFD. Therefore,
I suspect he has included images in the folios with OFD
ranging from 2.5 to 3.0mm. Greg can correct me if I am
wrong.
Don, do you typically have trouble fusing the images that
others include in the folios?
