Hello Bill,

The Sputnik case is Bakelite which means that
it takes a high polish, is hard, but is unfortunately
brittle.  I have repaired Bakelite OK with Super Glue.
Since the parts are not high stress the Super Glue
should hold OK.  If there any cracks or any tiny
chips missing, either black enamel or epoxy should 
take care of any possible light leaks.
