I'm glad to hear your Sputnik is back in action.

I would very strongly recommend against keeping Crazy Glue (or any
other cyanoacrylate (CA)) in a camera bag for two reasons.

First, CA glues only have about a six month self life. After that
they are no longer effective. I tend to go the the WRAM (Westchester
Radio Aero Modellers) show each year and by fresh bottles straight
from the manufacturer. Once I get them home they go right in the
freezer.

Second, bottles of glue have a habit of leaking. When I used to fly
C/L airplanes there were guys who had all sorts of stuff glued to
their flight boxes because a bottle leaked. In a camera bag it would
be even worse. One of the uses of CA is a method of making finger
prints easier to see (the fumes from the glue react with the moisture
on the surface). Having a permanent set of fingerprints on your
equipment would be really bad, especially on a lens.
