Having been "outed" by Paul, I will just say that I'm just getting started
with a Sputnik and came to the list to gain some insights on MF stereo.
I thank Paul for hosting the site where I found the instruction manual for
the camera and hope to do some business with him soon to get a viewer
and mounts.  I must say that the film loading instructions were not too
clear but it's not hard to figure out, though it does seem backwards
somehow.  The timed shutter release doesn't seem to work on my
camera.  It counts down but doesn't release the shutter.  (The shutter
is cocked)  Is this a common problem or something easy to fix?
Here's another question.  Is there a standard way to convert the 3/8"
threads on the tripod mount to the more standard 1/4"--20?  I am trying
to drill and tap a 3/8" bolt and then epoxy that into the existing
threads, but I don't know if the new threads will be strong enough.   I
should know by the end of this week though, and then I'll be ready
to run my first roll of film through.
