Since this debate started a few months back, I have done some
experiments using 220 film in my Spud.
For the pressure plates I used a thin COTTON velvet to stop
scratching and to provide the little extra thickness that the paper
would normally provide. It MUST be cotton because Draylon and
other man made velvet fabrics cause quite a lot of static. I would
appreciate your findings on winding on. Mine seems to vary with
each film. Perhaps I don't record it properly. What turns are you
giving? The other important piece of equipment, of course, is a
small strip of black gaffer tape for the red hole.
