I have fiddled with the current Seagull TLR in the NYC Calumet store.
I think the build quality is about as good as my rather worn
Yashicamat 124G (it's currently out for repairs, so it should come
back much spiffier). It is much better than the Lubitels I have. I
have not taken any pictures with the Seagull. Given the inflated
prices of Yashicamats, if I were starting over I'd get a Seagull from
Calumet. Photo Techniques USA thinks it's a good beginners camera (2
years on their 25 best cameras list), and from personal experience I
know Calumet is a great place to deal with.

By the way, Calumet's current web price for this camera is $119.95.
Walmart's web price is $151.39 plus $3 shipping.
