slide conversion

Does anyone have any first hand experience converting MF into Realist
format or superslides?

I would assume that the resulting reduced slides would sharper,
proportional to the reduction. I don't know where I would run into
the physical limitations of the film grain. Any experience? Any
guesses?

There must be a duplicating film made for slides. Any suggestions? I
assume is would be e-6.

One last question. Will I have any problem with depth geometry? I
would think the on-film deviation would scale proportionally.

Why 5 perf? I'm thinking of preparing a slide show for
non-enthusiasts. I don't think they will care about or notice super
sharpness, certainly not enough to warrant fooling with MF
projection. Simple setup and transport is my aim with 5 perf.
Still, I don't want them to look like crap, either. :^)

An alternative is to shoot everything twice, once with a Realist,
once with the Sputnik. This would eliminate the need for
duplication. But it would mean copies of everything I shoot. (With
duplication, I would copy just the good ones.)

Any thoughts? Experience?

Tom
