I bought a Sputnik from Kiev USA this past summer. They claim to test
and fix the camera before sending it out and offer a warranty period.
They say they keep a set of negatives on file to show that the camera
has no light leaks. If you have the time to hassle them they should
fix any problems during the warranty period. I had a pretty busy
summer and didn't want to be without the camera, so I'm going to fix
it up myself (unless Paul offers the fixup service).
I believe that Alan Lewis used to offer the Saturn MF viewer
pre-built, but I don't know if it's still available. Building the
viewer doesn't take that much skill or time. It can be done over the
course of a few evenings. The most time consuming part is waiting for
the glue and finish to dry.
