Bokeh in 3d

Hi all,

I subscribe to the Pentax mailing list and
one topic of discussion is the bokeh of various
lenses. (Bokeh is the redition of out of focus
areas in a photo. A nice smooth blur is desired
generally. Bad bokeh may make lines look double
edged which makes out of focus tree branches or
grass look terrible.)

I've never concerned myself with this in 3d
photography because normally we try to get
everything in focus. But I was just going thru
the folio (loop 6A) and in Stephen Kearney's
Agave Plant photo saw some really ugly Sputnik
bokeh.

The photo itself is excellent but there is
one area in the upper left that contains some
bright out of focus tree branches. And they
look quite busy due to the double edging effect.

Quite interesting. Has anyone else experienced
good or bad bokeh in 3d photos (MF, 35mm or other)?

I've since looked at Gary's cat in the tree
photo (critically) and see that the Rolleidoscop
had fairly nice bokeh (front and rear).
