List hosting

As you may know, Bill Costa at the University of New
Hampshire (UNH) has offered on P3D to host any 3-D
related mailing lists on UNH computers. I met Bill
at NSA in Green Bay and asked him some questions
about the hosting services he could provide. It all
sounded pretty reasonable to me. About the only
stipulations are:

    - the `owner' of the list -- i.e. the person who
does the actual day-to-day maintenance will have
to be listed in the on-line application as Bill
      Costa. Bill says, though, that:
in effect it will be your list. At least for
as long as I am here at the University. (I've
been here 15 years so far and don't plan on
leaving yet, so it should be a long while!

    - UNH requires at least one period in the list name.
      Some examples from Bill:
          Medium.Format.Stereo
          Medium.Format.3D
          MF3D.Forum
I'm waiting to hear back from him whether "MF.3D"
       would also be OK.

    - Any really in-your-face commercialism in the
list's 'info' and 'welcome' text is prohibited.
Purely commercial postings, of course, will not
be a problem. Its just the charter for the list
cannot be expressed in terms that it was created
in support of a particular business.

I'm the owner of several lists on OneList. While the
services like OneList and eGroups are great, I'd prefer
to see the list move to UNH. Does anyone have any
strong feelings to the contrary?
