Re: Folio I Update

Speaking of the Folios,

I don't know where the current folios are in the routes, but I
need to be skipped for about 1.5 months. We will be moving out of
our house in Little Rock July 29th into a short stay apartment
for the next few weeks. We won't be fully settled into our new
location (Escondido, CA) until mid- to late August.

Although the post office promises to hold and forward all of our
mail, I don't want to see the folios getting lost in transit.

For those who may be interested, I'm leaving academia (University
of Arkansas for Medical Sciences) after 20 years playing the
professor game to join the corporate world in San Diego. I'm
joining a relatively new company that specializes in
pharmaceutical research. I'll be doing the same kind of work as
before (dermatopharmacology) but now for profit instead of for
loss. However, the biggest asset that comes with the move is to
leave the world of 105F heat indices to a location that promises
65-75F degrees year round with low humidity. This move seems to
be just in time to save my sanity as I've been recently starting
to answer yes to a few of those "you know your a redneck when..."
questions, having had to live in redneck country for so long.

But what a headache! Sell the house here, find a house there,
inspections, paperwork, more paperwork, loan agreements, "Where's
the interest rate today?", fix this, fix that, "drat-packed the
screwdrivers yesterday-which box was that?".

To lighten the load, we've decided to sell all our furniture and
collected junk. This weekend will be the "estate" sale. Add to
all of this, I still have two laboratories filled with equipment,
glassware and supplies to get packed up and moved. O, and did I
mention that I still have several research studies in progress?

Needless to say, photography is currently way down on the to-do
list.

Cheers,
Paul A. Lehman
