Thanks to Stephen for re-posting this, and the original
author for writing it.
I thought I would be able to easily handle setting the focus
on the Spud I just acquired, as it sounded very similar to what
I had done with my Richoflex cameras. I had the dangdest time,
though, getting those gears separated from the lenses so I could
make the required adjustments. Finally got it all to work.
The two lenses were pretty far off in their focus settings,
but using the SLR-as-collimator tip someone posted (thanks!)
I was able to get them back in synch, once I got the gears off.
In the test roll I shot, the images like sharp enough in the
viewer. The chips didn't look razor sharp under an 8x loupe,
but I suppose that reflects the limits of the Sputnik optics.
