Well, then I'll risk boring the rest of the list members with an answer.

Even though I still manually cut some of the wood in my viewers, the
especially difficult shapes are cut with one of two CNC home machines
that I have.

I use either a Sherline milling machine with my homemade retrofit of a
MaxNC CNC kit, or another CNC router made using SuperCam components and
software.

I design in AutoCad, write the G-code in MaxNC Pro software, and
transfer it to either of the machines, which run from an old 386
computer in my garage.

Well, that just blew your image of an old world craftsman working in the
Black Forest performing miracles in wood....... 

Mr Mahogany is computerized!
