Finally shot some MF slides

I bought a like new Sputnik from Dalia at the Richmond convention last
summer.
The Saturn lighted MF viewer from Alan came several months ago followed
by
some 6x6, 6.45 Landscape and portrait mounts from Joel.
Even bought some Fuji and Kodak slide film from my local photo shop.

There was some discussion about Folios and Expos but I didn't have any
thing to
show so I went out and gave it a try. I was concerned about all the
warnings I have
read but why not try it first. Took some at the studio and a couple of
scenics outside.

Results: I was impressed. I hadn't seen any MF stereo before. No light
leaks even
though I left it out of the case. No lens flare, although I didn't temp
it by letting
sunlight hit the lens. I'm not too good at focus with the microprism so
I guessed and
apparently the scale on the lens must be close. (Why would anyone use
the same
numbers for distance as are common for apertures ?). I kind of like the
the touchy
shutter release. Easy to fire and reminded me of my childhood camera.
I had kind of
forgotten about the quirks of the waist level finder. Everything was
hand held and
shot at 11 or 16. The camera seemed easier to stabilize than an eye
level 35.

The Kodak film appeared to have much nicer color in the studio for flesh
tones and
whites. The Fuji Velvia had a slight green cast. All exposures seemed
right on.
My viewer is lighted by a battery operated fluorescent light.

The Fuji film would be my first choice outside with its brilliant blues
and greens.
Even in the studio, the Fuji seemed a little more saturated.

I had a little trouble mounting them properly and had to call RJ for
help. Is there a
better way to secure the mounts than the use of magic mending tape ?

Thanks for everyone's suggestions as I lurked here in the MF group.
Gonna be hard to
go back and shoot 35mm stereo prints. :-)
