  I've never had it happen on mine.

  But it can happen if you start the spool slightly
off center. Then the paper backing and film will
gradually move to that edge and wrinkle/tear.

  Another possiblility is that your camera body is
warped. Don't know how to prove or disprove this
one.

  There is also a little play in the brackets that
hold the two corner rollers on. Perhaps an adjustment
there might improve the film handling.

  Unfortunately I don't know of any way to test
the body for #2 and #3 aside from shooting a few
rolls.
