  The Japanese viewer is a STL though they
mention an optional light source AFAIR.

  The MF viewer kit that Joel sells is STL
also, though he does sell the fluorescent
lighting kit as an option.

  The KI viewer uses single element lenses,
fairly small diameter as I recall. The 40x84mm
achromats in Joel's/Alan's kit are much better.
The blackening inside the KI is reportedly poor
though I suppose you could upgrade it. The kit
you would paint the inside flat black or use
black flocked paper when you assemble it.
