A good variety of solenoids can be found at Jameco
(http://www.jameco.com), or Marlin P. Jones & Assoc.
(http://www.mpja.com).  The Jameco online catalog has info available
plus an FTP site with additional documentation.  Searching the Marlin P.
Jones online catalog didn't find any solenoids, but the paper catalog
has 3 pages of assorted types.
