I certainly didn't have the degree of trouble that Lattie and
Bob have described. The advance did take a fair amount of
effort (relative to 35mm and to my Richoflexes), but it seemed
consistent through the whole roll. I got the reels and paper
back from the lab (to possibly use for re-rolling those cheap
220 rolls I have), and noticed that all three experience some
damage to the paper, mostly "dog-ear" shaped tears, though one
also has some evidence of being "scrunched" from a possible
misalignment. However, the series of little tears on each
roll is in the area of frame 1--the beginning of the roll.
On two rolls it is at the bottom of the paper (top of the
camera in the Spud), and on one it is at the top of the
paper. I can't say whether the damage happened in the camera
or at the lab. Seems like if it happened in the camera there
would have been a lot more trouble advancing than I had.
