Tominon lens

Hi all,

Thanks to Bob and some quick (for once)
cross-border mail I got my Tominon 127mm
lens on Friday. Yippie.

For those who are interested in what they
look like, I snapped a picture and put it
on my web page:

In spite of the measurements Les gave us
it still surprised me how wide (large diameter)
this thing is. In fact it won't work as I
had planned with my Bronica and bellows.

The Bronica bellows lens mouning point
is fairly recessed inside the Y frame that
allows lensboard movement and this shutter
is too big to fit in their.

Fortunately, the lens can be moved outward
and still achieve infinity focus (one of my
goals). But I will have to get Marvin (my
machinist brother-in-law) to make me a spacer
ring for the threaded lens mouning cap he
had made me.

Still it should work out pretty good.

Later - Greg
